2008 CAFO Workshops

Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) are operations that have or plan to have 1,000 animal units. These operations must obtain water quality protection permits, called Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) permits, from the DNR. The CAFO Workshops are face-to-face sessions that will be repeated in four locations around the state. Each workshop has two separate sessions, one designed for livestock operations that currently hold a WPDES permit and another designed for producers who do not yet have a permit but are interested in the permit process, timelines and requirements.

Workshop Locations:

Green Bay - June 23
Johnson Creek - June 24
Eau Claire - July 8
Richland Center - July 9
